What the headline leaves out

  • The $8 is the first month. It renews at $10, which is 6x, and paying annually is $7 a month, which is 8.6x.
  • The credit stops at $60 a month, and the app and the API key draw on the same pool.
  • Each model has its own monthly ceiling too. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, MiMo Pro and MiMo Flash are $180 a month each, so the $60 credit is what runs out first.
  • Go excludes the plan models — Claude, GPT and Grok need a higher tier. What it does carry is the design-plan lineup: DeepSeek, MiMo, GLM, Kimi, Hunyuan.
  • It is a promotion, with no end date published, and the model list changes often.
