18x on the subscription — the prepaid bundles are 1:1
$20 a month buys 250 Hypercredits that refresh daily. At 5 cents a credit that is $12.50 of usage every day, so a month comes to roughly $375 against the $20 you paid. The models worth your time here are Kimi K3, GLM 5.3 and GLM 5.3 flash.

- $20/month subscription — 250 credits a day, $12.50 of usage$20.00 → $360.0018x
- Prepaid bundle — 1:1, no multiplier$20.00 → $20.001x
What the headline leaves out
- The multiplier lives entirely in the subscription. Prepaid bundles are 1:1 — $20 buys 400 credits, which is $20 of usage — so they carry no multiplier at all.
- Credits refresh daily rather than banking, and Hyper's own copy draws the contrast: prepaid credits 'never expire', subscription credits 'refresh daily'. A day you do not run it is a day you paid for.
- 18x is measured against DeepSeek's own pay-as-you-go rate of $0.30 per million input tokens at peak ($0.15 off-peak), so it is a ceiling on the comparison rather than a rate you are charged.
- A full 30-day month at $12.50 a day is $375, which is 18.75x. I write 18 because the number only holds if you actually use the daily allowance.
- The free tier gives 100 credits a month, which is enough to try the models before committing.
